Meet the Creators of Grief Guides

Trudie Bamford - Creative Director

A little like the Wizard of Oz, innovating, smart, pulling all the levers, creating the magic. Not scary at all.

Trudie researches, writes and creates much of the content we produce for our training products. She is a freelance trainer, delivering education for organisations on topics ranging from neurodivergence & grief to traumatic loss.

Trudie is also a grief counsellor with a wealth of experience of supporting people after loss, with specialist experience on traumatic grief, such as after suicide or drug overdose.

Martin Roddis - Creator & Lead Trainer

Adopting the 'Pooh Bear' approach to life, therapy and grief work. Researching and innovating trying to make the knowledge relatable, useful and practical.

Martin is a freelance trainer, who consults, creates and delivers innovative content to help organisations build foundational skills when interacting with the bereaved. He created the Grief First Aid course for Cruse, raising awareness of grief in the workplace, as well as developing the pilot for the peer-to-peer support service for those bereaved by suicide. Martin has extensive training experience in every sector, from volunteers to blue light services to the NHS to financial services to media.

Our vision is of a world where the majority of people are able to feel psychologically safe when expressing their grief and have unrestricted access to support & resources in their homes, community & workplace.

Mission Statement

We aim to transform how people experience and adapt to grief, building a future where connection and hope shine through even the darkest moments.

Our vision is to build a culture where those who experience loss have their voices heard, and receive the kind of support they need, when they need it. To that end, we educate and advocate, providing people with the insight, knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to offer effective support to the grieving.

Grief is a universal human experience; it's time we learn how to be more equipped to deal with it, both personally and culturally.

Memento mori, memento vivere.
