Many people feel unsure or anxious when trying to support someone who is grieving — particularly after a suicide, but also following any significant loss. We equip people with the understanding and skills to have courageous, compassionate conversations about grief and loss.
As The Jordan Legacy works tirelessly toward a “Zero Suicide Society,” driven by collaboration, education and real-world support for those affected by suicide and bereavement, we believe our training in grief awareness and compassionate care complements that mission perfectly.

Grief Guides training prepares individuals, workplaces and community groups with the tools and understanding to respond sensitively to grief, loss and suicide bereavement. Together, we aim to build more compassionate, connected, and mentally-healthy communities that recognise grief, support rebuilding, and help prevent further loss.

Being Care-Filled - a Free Self-Care Course:

The Grief Guides team were honoured to be included in the guest speaker line-up for the three SoBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide) Volunteer Assemblies in 2025. We created a presentation, backed up by a training module on our school, focusing on how to prioritise self-care, so that you are able to sustainably support those who are grieving or in emotional distress. The module also goes into the impact of trauma, and what someone who has experienced traumatic bereavement, such as after suicide, will need from supporters.

We are making this module available to all conference attendees. There is no charge for this multi-media course, but if you scan the QR code at the bottom left of this page, it will take you to the Just Giving page for The Jordan Legacy, where you can donate to the One Voice, One Hope project. Once registered you will have lifetime access to this module. Sign up below.

What Our Students Say

The training expanded and deepened my current knowledge of grief and the video content helped deepen what was being taught in the units.
The instructors present the information in a very relatable way. The different modes - written, role play, film, podcasts keep it engaging and have helped consolidate my learning. I go forward feeling more confident in supporting people.
I found all the videos really helpful and informative. I instantly wanted to share most of them, as they made so much sense.
Sometimes online learning can be dry and too detail heavy or just not relevant, this training was completely different to that!
